Special Events

There are some events that the church embarks on regularly and we refer to them as Special Events.

The following are our Special Events:

Sunday; Every sunday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. we gather in the auditorium of Dominion Temple at the feet of God to be fed from His word.

We consider it a special event each sunday, since it is always a fresh opportunity to come before the Lord.

Remember bible teaches us not to forsake the assembly of the brethen.

It is always a pleasure to go to church as it is revealed by King David in the Book of Psalms when he said " I was Glad when they said unto me, let us go into the House of the Lord".

The Declaration; We have a declaration which we recite every Sunday at Church before the preaching of the word.

This is to remind us about our authority and position in God as heirs and descendants of Abraham and so appropriate the Abrahamic blessings.

Tuesdays; We gather again on tuesday to study the word of the Lord. Bible tells us in the book of Timothy to "study to show ourselves approved unto God".

We therefore call our week-day meeting the "Bible Adventure Hour".

It begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.

Half Night Prayer Meeting; We have a half night prayer session every last friday night of the month. This is basically an intercessory night.

It starts at 9:00 p.m. and ends after midnight.

It is a time that we gather to thank God for the passing month and usher in the new month and win our victories spiritually before the new month unfold. Literary capturing the new month.

Quarterly All Night Prayer Meeting; We have a half night prayer session every last friday night of the month. This is basically an intercessory night.

It starts at 9:00 p.m. and ends after midnight.

It is a time that we gather to thank God for the passing month and usher in the new month and win our victories spiritually before the new month unfold. Literary capturing the new month.

Communion; We take Holy Communion every first Sunday of every month.

This is in obedience to the word of God in the Gospels that says we should always do this in remembrance of Him until He comes.

Baby Dedication; Baby dedications are on the third Sunday of every month. Forms are available on this website. You have to fill the form online or download and fill them and submit them at church, at the publications desk.

Please these form must be submitted well in advance of the event. So that the church calendar can be updated to include your event. Not less than a week in advance.

Annual Prayer & Fasting Month (July); The is in the month of July. We have our annual prayer and fasting month, which we call spiritual emphasis month in the whole ICGC fraternity.

This is not regarded as the only time the member of Dominion Temple should be engaged in spiritual exercise such as fasting.

We are encouraged to fast and pray as many times as we can in the course of the year, individually, as a family and as a church.

Annual Neighborhood Cook-Out; This is our annual neighborhood celebration event which we host every year after the Spiritual Emphasis month.

Usually the first sunday after the month of July, is a Friends and Family Day and with that we block some of the neighborhood streets and set up barbecue stattions and provide lots of food and invite our neighbors to come and enjoy with us after service. Usually the service is shorter on this day. During this festivity we also take the time to witness to our neighbors.

We always imform the police before engaging in this activity.

The Men's Fellowship and the Hospitality Department of the church usaully spear-head this celebration.
